Airline updates
British Airways announces its latest US destination, St. Louis
From 19 April 2026, London Heathrow launch direct flights to St. Louis, Missouri four times a week for the summer season. Customers will have the option to be seated in either World Traveller, World Traveller Plus or Club World. The introduction of this new direct service comes after the company’s frequency boost for US destinations, which include Miami, San Diego, and Austin. Read more
Air Canada adds a brand new Airbus A321XLR to its fleet
In June 2026, the aircraft will depart on a brand new route to Palma de Mallorca. Next summer, we can also expect to see routes to Toulouse, Dublin, and Edinburgh all departing from Montreal. The Airbus A321XLR is due to replace older aircraft, offering a larger fuel tank, larger overhead XL bins and a modern interior. Read more
British Airways debuts brand new premium economy seating
The World Traveller Plus premium economy seat is set to be rolled out on its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner fleet in 2026. The seats feature a privacy wing, deep seat pockets for laptops, books and tablets, and USB-C and USB-A charging ports.
Emirates adds 6 extra weekly flights from Dubai to London Heathrow this winter
Emirates has added six weekly flights to London Heathrow, taking its schedule to 48 a week. Operated by Boeing 777-300 ERs alongside six daily A380 flights, the new services boost overnight connections via Dubai. By February 2026, Emirates will fly 90 weekly services from London. Read more
United announces new non-stop flights from Glasgow to New York/ Newark
Between 9 May and 23 September 2026, United will introduce non-stop daily seasonal flights between Glasgow and New York/Newark. This service is in addition to United’s existing flights from Edinburgh to New York/Newark – which will double from once to twice a day during the peak summer season. United is currently the only airline operating a year-round service from Edinburgh to the U.S. Read more
Etihad brings back its Zanzibar summer flights
This destination marks the airline’s 30th addition this year. From 14 June to 6 September 2026, Etihad will operate four weekly flights from Abu Dhabi to Zanzibar. The route will be served by an Airbus A320, offering both Business and Economy class cabins. Read more
United Airlines adds new destinations for the Summer 2026 schedule
The airline will fly from Newark/New York to Split, Croatia (30 April 2026), Bari, Italy (1 May 2026), Glasgow, Scotland (8 May 2026) and Santiago de Compostela, Spain (27 May 2026) from Newark/New York. The airline will also launch its first service between Washington-Dulles and Reykjavik, Iceland on 21 May 2026, operating daily onboard a Boeing 737-MAX8 aircraft. This addition will make United the only airline to offer lie-flat business class seats between these two capital cities. By summer 2026, United will be offering nearly 3,000 weekly international round-trip flights. Read more
Swiss Airlines’ first Airbus A350 lands in Zurich
On 9 October, the airline’s first A350 aircraft landed in Zurich, which will become its base. The long-haul twinjet consumes 25% less fuel compared to its older models and therefore reduces the amount of carbon dioxide emitted. The airline is due to have 10 Airbus A350 on its fleet by 2031. Las Vegas has joined Air France’s Summer 2026 flight schedule
Starting on 15 April 2026, Air France will fly from Paris Charles de Gaulle to Las Vegas. A direct service will be offered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Las Vegas has become the airline’s 19th destination in the United States and 26th in North America. Read more
LOT Polish Airlines adds a new direct service from Warsaw to Bologna
The airline has announced Bologna as its newest destination.. This is the 4th destination in Italy, including Rome, Venice and Milan. The new service will depart from Warsaw six times a week from 31 March 2026, on board Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft. Read more

Located in the heart of the city, the 260-room property offers new bold and bright concept designs. The hotel offers a gym, a signature restaurant and meeting and event spaces with space for up to 650 guests. Read more

IHG announces nine new European signings and openings across voco brand
IHG has announced their new signings to its voco brand portfolio, adding over 1,000 keys. The company has confirmed 9 new signings, which are the voco Parma & Congressi, voco The 7 – Lisbon, voco Rome Villa Borghese, voco Valladolid City, voco Nantes and voco Bilbao – City. Set to open imminently are the voco Antalya – Konyaalti, voco Madrid – Las Tablas and voco Nola – Naples Vulcano Buono. Read more

L’lsle de Leos Hotel & Spa opens as MGallery’s newest property
Located in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, France, the latest MGallery property is a combination of beauty and charm. The hotel features 49 rooms and 11 suites, as well as an on-site bar, restaurant, spa and two meeting rooms accommodating up to 60 guests. Read more
IHG adds to their Kimpton portfolio with tristar Hotels partnership
IHG has secured its first Kimpton signing in Austria, the Kimpton Salzburg. The 119-room hotel has a selection of guest rooms and includes 11 suites. Set to open in mid-2028, the hotel will also offer large meeting spaces, a fitness centre and a wellness area. Read more

LNER announces a brand new WhatsApp information channel
The rail service now offers a convenient way for customers to stay informed about their journeys. Passengers will receive real-time updates via WhatsApp, including notifications about any delays or disruptions. Read more
Eurostar Celestia to debut as Eurostar’s first double-decker train
The train network has announced the rollout of 50 sustainable double-decker trains. These will be the first of its kind ever to operate through the Channel Tunnel and UK network. It will have 1,080 seats, which is a 20% increase. The trains are set to join the fleet from January 2031, with the first commercial services in May 2031. Read more
