CTM ventures into the British Touring Car Championship with Árón Taylor-Smith

Corporate Travel Management (CTM), an award-winning global travel management company, is delighted to announce its new partnership with Árón Taylor-Smith for the 2023 British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) as Sponsor and Official Travel Partner.

Taylor-Smith is a multiple BTCC race winner, he began his motorsport career in Ireland, quickly becoming an Irish Kart champion. In 2012 Taylor-Smith marked the start of his BTCC career with a maiden victory in his debut season. He continued in the BTCC for the subsequent five years before taking a sabbatical to focus on a GT programme throughout Europe. 2023 will be his ninth season in British Motorsport and marks an exciting move as he joins the formidable team at Power Maxed Racing, a multiple-race-winning programme.

Árón Taylor-Smith, the BTCC race winner, said: To say that I am excited about the 2023 season is an understatement. Our pre-season testing programme has been going very well and I’m already starting to feel at home in both the car and the new team. I have to say that I am blown away by the work that Power Maxed Racing have done during the off-season and I literally can’t wait to fly the CTM flag this season as we battle against the best touring car drivers in the world.

Shelley Matthews, CTM Sport’s EVP Sales and Partnerships, said ‘We are delighted to announce our partnership with Árón for the 2023 season, supporting and collaborating with individual athletes is incredibly important to CTM and we are proud to be a part of his journey for the 2023 season. This is an exciting year for Árón as he joins a new team and looks to score more podiums, we’re looking forward to working together and being a part of his dedicated partner network.’

Taylor-Smith added: I am over the moon to welcome CTM into the BTCC for this season. I can already tell that it is a partnership which will flourish over the course of the season and I’m really looking forward to giving them something to shout about all year!

The season will kick off on the Donington Park National Circuit on 22 – 23 April. A key aspect of the CTM partnership will see prominent CTM branding on Taylor-Smith’s helmet for the duration of the 2023 season. All teams are in the final stages of preparation ahead of the season opener at Donington Park.
