BTCC 2024 Announcement
Corporate Travel Management (CTM), an award-winning global travel management company, is delighted to announce the renewal of its partnership with Árón Taylor-Smith for the 2024 British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) as a Sponsor and Official Travel Partner.
CTM played a pivotal role in the Irishman’s breakout season, culminating in a remarkable second-place finish in the independents championship. The 2023 season marked a standout year for Taylor-Smith, who joined CarStore Power Maxed Racing, securing numerous victories and podium finishes.
Taylor-Smith expressed gratitude stating, “CTM was an integral part of my 2023 season, and their support was instrumental in achieving these results. Their commitment to personal relationships aligns seamlessly with how I run my BTCC programme.”
The upcoming season marks a significant milestone in Taylor-Smith’s BTCC career, offering him the unique opportunity to drive the same car, with the same team, and, critically, the same engineering crew. This cohesive continuity is expected to contribute to a remarkable and competitive campaign.
Taylor-Smith commented, “I am so proud of what we achieved in 2023 while flying the CTM flag, but I truly feel as though we are only getting started. This is the most confident that I have ever felt going into a season, as now we have the entire winter to develop the car further to ensure that we are a force to be reckoned with come the first race. It’s shaping up to be a really exciting season.”
The team’s first challenge will take place at the iconic Donington Park, a track where they have historically performed well. Preparations for the 2024 season are well underway, with Power Maxed Racing implementing a series of winter developments to enhance competitiveness from the outset. Racing enthusiasts are encouraged to follow both CTM and Árón Taylor-Smith’s social media channels for regular updates leading up to and throughout the season.
General Manager CTM Sport, Shelley Mathews, said, “The first season with Árón was fantastic. It was our first-ever season in motorsport, and we had no doubt about renewing the partnership for 2024. Our ethos within CTM is centred on personal relationships, and being part of Aron’s journey back to the podium is something that we are very proud of. We cannot wait to see what 2024 holds for our driver.”
